Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: EZ897-171180/A Leung, Janie (PWY) Telephone No. - (604) 666-8228 Fax No. - (604) 775-6633 Title: Site Remediation Location: Fireside Maintenance Camp, KM 839, Alaska Highway, BC Work Description: The work covers the remediation of contaminated material by excavation and placement in an offsite Public Works owned Soil Treatment Facility and/or offsite disposal. Work to be performed includes but is not limited to: -Plan excavation, including geotechnical design as required -Design and operate Contaminated Water Treatment Plan -Excavate contaminated and non-contaminated materials -Backfill excavations with clean imported fill material -Load and transport contaminated materials and non-contaminated materials to a treatment facilityas applicable and a disposal facility for final disposal -Restore site to pre-existing conditions -Construction of Soil treatment facility Mandatory Requirement: The Superintendent must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the environmental remediation industry including five (5) years of demonstrated experience as an on-site Superintendent. Site Visit: Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. There is an optional site visit for prospective bidders on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 from 07:30 am to 8:10 am PDST at the Fireside Maintenance Camp, KM 839, Alaska Highway, BC. From 8:15am to 8:30am PDST, the site visit will take place at the JJJ Gravel Pit. Bidders must wear personal protective equipment (high visibility vest, and steel toe work boots) to the site visit.
