Title:  
Living Unit M3 - Air Handling Unit Replacements

Location: 
Matsqui Institution, Abbotsford, BC

Work Description: 
The Work comprises of the following at the Matsqui Institution (Building M3), 33344 King Road, Abbotsford, BC:
-Removal of the four existing HVAC air handling unit (AHU) systems currently serving the Living Units North, South, West, East Wings, and replacement with new AHU systems. The new AHUs shall be shipped "knocked down" and/or in modular components to allow transport into their final positions.
-Removal of existing variable frequency drives (VFDs) and disconnects, serving the exhaust systems and air handling units, and replacement with new VFDs complete with disconnects
-Removal of existing HVAC control devices and replacement and upgrade with new components and modification to the sequence of operation programming
-Installation of new ductwork and piping systems related to the new AHU systems.
-Removal and reinstallation of duct smoke detectors in accordance with CAN/ULC s524.
-Re-verification of fire alarm system related to the AHU systems in accordance with CAN/ULC s537.
-Provide complete commissioning of new AHU systems, VFDs, and controls.

Site Visit:  
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

A site visit is scheduled on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 9:30am PDST, at the PWGSC Site Office at Matsqui Institution, located at 33344 King Road, Abbotsford, BC.

A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites.  Contractors attending the site visit are required to show one (1) piece of government issued ID, such as a Drivers License.

All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit.  No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or laptop computers are allowed into institutions at any time.

Delivery Date: 
The Contractor shall perform and complete within twenty (20) weeks of Contract award.

Value of Project: 
To assist with insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $475,000 to $525,000.
