Fire Alarm System Replacement

Work Description: 
The Work will take place at Mission Minimum Institution located at 33737 Dewdney trunk Road, Mission, BC. The Work comprises of:
1) replacement of an existing fire alarm system for a 42-building site
2) Outside Plant fibre-optic backbone network for the fire alarm system
3) Miscellaneous non-electrical items of work including drywall and painting

Site Visit: 
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

A site visit is scheduled on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 10:00am local time. Interested Contractors are asked to meet at the PWGSC trailer located at 8751 Stave Lake Street, Mission, BC. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites.  Contractors attending the site visit are required to show one (1) piece of government issued ID, such as a Driver’s License.

All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit.  No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or laptop computers are allowed into institutions at any time.

Delivery Date: 
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within fifty-two (52) weeks of Contract award.

Value of Project: 
To assist with insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $975,000.00 to $1,050,000.00
