Work Description: 
The project calls for new security enhancement to existing cell windows including the fabrication and installation of new contraband screen assemblies, and remedial work as indicated for the 96 bed LU Building E at the Matsqui Complex, Pacific Institution, located at 33344 King Road, Abbotsford, BC.
  
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work.


Site Visit: 
Contractors are recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.  An optional site visit is scheduled on August 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. local time.  Venue will be at the Matsqui Complex, Pacific Institution, 33344 King Road, Abbotsford, BC.  A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the site.  Contractors attending the site visit are required to show one (1) piece of government issued ID, such as a Driver’s License.

All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit.  No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or laptop computers are allowed into institutions at any time.

Bidders are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

Delivery Date: 
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of the tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within 8 weeks of contract award.

Value of Project: 
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost around $110,000.00.

Addenda, when issued will be available from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.  Firms that elect to base their bids on tender (solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their intention to bid.
