    Work Description: 
    The project calls for International Traffic Facility (ITF) and Commercial Traffic Facility (CTF) Boiler Plant Replacement at the CBSA Huntingdon Port of Entry in Abbotsford BC.  Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following items covered further in the Contract documents:
    
    1. Installation of two new floor-mounted condensing boilers for each building.
    2. Removal of seven existing floor-mounted heating boilers, associated flues, and pumps.
    3. Installation of two new floor-mounted condensing heating boilers and boiler vents.
    4. Installation of new circulations pumps.
    5. Adjustment of heating piping in Mechanical room to suit new pump arrangement.
    6. Installation of primary-secondary header and buffer tank in the existing hydronic distribution system.
    7. Addition of new control system, for each building, to the existing control system so that the existing system and new system shall work in unity without any problem.
    8. Electrical connections to the new equipment and control systems, for each building. 
    9. Construction of new pad for each building.
    10. Commissioning for each building.
      
    Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work.
    
    Site Visit: 
    Contractors are recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.  An optional site visit is scheduled on August 10, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. local time.  Venue will be at the CBSA Huntingdon Port of Entry, 0 Sumas Way, Abbotsford, BC.  A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the site.  Contractors attending the site visit are required to show one (1) piece of government issued ID, such as a Driver’s License.
    
    Bidders are responsiblefor making their own travel arrangements.

    Delivery Date: 
    The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of the tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within 30 weeks of contract award.

    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost around $520,000.00.
