Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender. Please monitor Buyandsell.gc.ca closely as changes to bid closing dates may be necessary. Please note that GI08 (Bid Security Requirements) and GI09 (Submission of Bid) of R2710T have been modified to include submission of bids electronically. Work Covered by Contract The project includes installation of twelve pipe culverts, excavation/ditching and riprap end protection, placement of grout in abandoned previously used CSP culverts, and hydraulic seeding of disturbed areas. The sites are located between Km 325.08 to 355.02 of the Alaska Highway between Fort St. John and Fort Nelson, BC. The work under this contract generally comprises of the following but is not limited to: 1. Supply and maintain of all traffic control for the duration of the works 2. Quality Management 3. Development of construction access and temporary earthworks to facilitate construction (during winter conditions and frozen ground as applicable). Restoration of the disturbed areas to pre-construction conditions following the construction 4. Installation of various sized diameter Steel Pipe Culverts using trenchless technologies (during winter conditions and frozen ground as applicable). Culvert installation via cut and cover construction techniques will not be accepted 5. Removal and onsite disposal of waste material from the insider of the installed culverts 6. Culvert ditching including excavation, transport and disposal of excess material (waste) onsite 7. Culvert end protection including supply and installation of riprap and bentonite 8. Decommissioning of existing culverts via supply and placement of group inside the abandoned culvert 9. Hydraulic Seeding of disturbed areas 10. Surveys (construction layout, payment quantities, as-built survey, and others as required) 11. Environmental protection Due to the remoteness and the location of the PSPC operated section of the Alaska Highway which passes through the traditional territories of the First Nations belonging to the Treaty 8 Tribal Association (primarily the southern section of the Highway) as well as the traditional territories of the First Nations belonging to the Daylu Dena Council (primarily the northern section of the Highway), bidders are encouraged to employ the available local workforce and utilize other locally available resources and equipment. Completion of the Work All work under this contract must be completed by March 31, 2022. Value of Project: To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project is estimated to cost between $1,000,001 to $5,000,000.
