    NOTE TO BIDDERS: 
    Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Winnipeg will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday and Thursday, 9 am to 11 am, and Tuesday, 9 am to 2 pm (local time).
    
    Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.

    Work under this Contract comprises the replacement of Life Safety Systems for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) Station located at Hay River, NT. Work includes, but is not limited to, the complete removal and replacement of Life Safety Systems for seven (7) buildings located on the project site and two (2) additional buildings on another nearby site, as more fully described in the plans and specifications.
    
    THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS A SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
    For further instructions please consult "Special Instruction to Bidders", SI12, "Security Clearance Requirements" and "Supplementary Conditions" SC01 "Security Clearance Requirements, Document Safeguarding Location".
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: There will be a site visit at 10:00am local time on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Hay River Canadian Coast Guard Station located at 42037 Mackenzie Hwy, Hay River, NT. Site visit attendees are to meet at the Reception of the Main Administration Building. Only one representative per firm will be permitted to attend the site visit. All bidders are to follow COVID-19 provincial and federal guidelines. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and wearing a self-supplied mask will be mandatory during the site visit. Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site. No exceptions will be made.
    
    Work is estimated to be completed within 52 weeks after contract award. 
    
    Value of Project:  To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $500,001.00  to  $1,000,000.00.
    
    Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid.
     
    This procurement contains mandatory requirements. Failure to comply may result in rejection of your bid.
