    Drumheller, AB
    
    Work under the proposed contract comprises of the furnishing of
    all labour, materials, equipment, and supervision for the
    Landfill Remediation project in Drumheller, Alberta, as more
    fully described in the Drawings and Specifications.
    
    The intent of the remediation is to remove the risk of slope
    failure and other physical hazards associated with the former
    landfill as well as the containment and control of metals in the
    surface water pathways at the former landfill.
    
    The rehabilitation project will include, but is not limited to
    mobilization/demobilization of equipment, site set-up and
    housekeeping, grubbing of vegetation, excavation, hauling and
    placement of material (soil and buried waste) from the slope
    face of the former landfill (cut and fill), segregation and
    placement of waste materials removed from the slope of the
    former landfill at the top of the former landfill, placing
    excavated soils from the slope face of the former landfill at
    the top of the former landfill and grading them to achieve
    desired slope angles, promote drainage and cap placed waster
    materials  (cut and fill) and management of surface water
    drainage.
    
    There will be a mandatory site visit on October 2, 2012 at
    1:30pm. Interested bidders are to meet at the main gate of the
    Drumheller Institution.
    
    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The
    representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site
    Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by
    Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be
    accepted.
    
    IMPORTANT NOTICE: New measures related to Code of Conduct and
    certifications included in the solicitation documents requires
    attention

    and special instructions which are available directly from the

    Drawings and Specifications are available for viewing and
    downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
    paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
    contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
    consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
    directory structure.
    
    It is the responsibility of the Tenderer to ensure that all
    addenda issued prior to tender closing have been obtained and
    addressed in the submitted tender.
