    TEST AND CALIBRATION SERVICE
    
    Environment  Canada (EC) - Meteorological Service of Canada
    (MSC) has a requirement for periodic (on an as and when
    requested basis) testing and calibration service for their
    barometers (also known as MSC Transfer Standard Barometers),
    which are used for their atmospheric monitoring program.  As
    well,  as part of this requirement, the proposed contractor will
    be required to provide recommendation for the repair of failed
    units.  The barometer types and quantities currently in
    operation are as follows, but will not be limited to these as
    other barometer models may be purchased in the future::
    
     - Approximately 100 units - Paroscientific 760-16B & 765-16B;
     - Approximately 23 units - Ruska 6220; 
     - Approximately 10 units - Technel 740-2, and 745-2
    
    All calibrations must be conducted following accredited
    procedures.  The calibration must be conducted in a laboratory
    with a valid accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025, with a scope of
    accreditation that includes the measurement of absolute pressure
    over the range of 800 hPa to 1100 hPa.  If the Offeror is in the
    process of obtaining accreditation, then they must demonstrate
    and provide proof that they will obtain the accreditation within
    the 6 months of standing offerissuance.
    
    The proposed period of the standing offer is from date of
    issuance award to 31 March 2015 with the right to request and
    extension option to extend the contract for an additional 3
    years (to 31 March 2018).
