    Work Description: 
    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) have a requirement for Civil Engineering Services for an Irrigation System Upgrade project at the Summerland Research and Development facility in BC.  The firm will assemble and oversee a project team that provides expertise in other disciplines (such as water distribution system, irrigation, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, land survey and environmental) for this multi-disciplinary irrigation project.
    
    The Design and Construction will entail Installation of Elements of this design will include:
    -A new underground main transmission line from the pumphouse to the reservoir which crosses the highway and the KVR rail line.
    -Appropriate filtration and pressure reducing stations along the transmission line. Pressure reducing stations will be the branch points for servicing the irrigation plots.
    -A new network of distribution lines to service the irrigation plots  
    -Repairs to the reservoir to ensure integrity and extend the service life.
    
    The proponent shall be a Civil / Irrigation Engineer, licensed, or eligible to be licensed, certified or otherwise authorized to provide the necessary professional services to the full extent that may be required by provincial or territorial law in the province of British Columbia.
