    The Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue (CFSSAR) of the
    Department of National Defence, 19 Wing Comox, BC requires
    Search and Rescue Technician (SAR Tech) mountain, glacier
    climbing and rescue training courses. 
    
    Location: Jasper/Hinton AB area and Columbia Ice Fields' area
    
    Period of Contract (Mandatory):
    
    1) SAR Tech Qualification Level 5A Course: 08:00 - 18:00
    (Mon-Fri) May 14-25, 2012 (10 training days) with May 19 & 20
    (Sat-Sun) reserved as back-up training in the event of inclement
    weather.
    
    2) SAR Tech Qualification Level 6A Level 3 Course: 08:00 - 18:00
    (Mon-Fri) May 26 - Jun 08, 2012 (12 training days) with June 1
    (Fri) and June 5 (Tues) reserved as back-up training in the
    event of inclement weather 
    
    
    All work must be carried out by experienced personnel in
    possession of:
    
    -    A valid Full Mountain Guide Certification from the
    Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) (Ski, Alpine,
    Rock) for the training locations specified herein; and
    
    -    Either High Angle Rescue Dynamics (HARD) - Level 1, 2 & 3
    (OR EQUIVALENT) or  Rigging for Rescue - Level 1 & 2 valid
    certificate (OR EQUIVALENT).
    
    Refer to the solicitation document for detailed training and
    qualification requirements.
    
    Bids must comply with the requirements of the solicitation
    document and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to
    be declared responsive and given further consideration.  The
    responsive bid with the lowest price will be recommended for
    award of a contract.
    
    
    Bidders must register with Merx in order to obtain the
    solicitation document and related amendment documents (free of
    charge via download method).
    
    This PWGSC office provides procurement services to the public in
    English.
