    Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) has a requirement to establish a National Individual Standing Offer (NISO) to purchase, as required, Marine Mammal Satellite Tags and engineering and/or technical services.  DFO has an ongoing need to track, monitor and understand marine mammals. Much of this work involves attachment of electronic tags that provide tag locations as well as additional data about the status of the animal, its habitat and/or behaviour. Engineering and technical services are required for the customization and refurbishment of tags and/or retrieval of data. Tags will be deployed on marine mammals such as, Beluga, Narwhal, Seals, Walrus, Bowhead and/or other species. 
    
    Up to 2 Standing Offers may be issued as a result of this Request for Standing Offer (RFSO).
    
    It is anticipated that the amount that will be spent on this standing offer will be between $150,000.00 and $300,000.00 per year.
    
    The Standing Offer(s) will be for a period of one (1) year with the option to extend for four (4) additional one (1) year period(s).
    
    Delivery FOB Destination: Fisheries and Oceans Canada located in Vancouver, BC, Winnipeg, MB, Sarnia, ON, Quebec City, QC, Moncton, NB, Dartmouth, NS, and St John’s, NL.
    
    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
