    Description
    Trade Agreement: NONE
Tendering Procedures: If 2+ bids offer Canadian goods/services other bids will not be considered
Competitive Procurement Strategy: Best Overall Proposal
    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No
    Nature of Requirements:

    PURPOSE
The purpose of this RFI is to provide to industry, and other interested parties, Canada’s draft Nursing Agency Services Request for Proposal (RFP), to share the proposed procurement strategy for re-procurement of Nursing Agency Services, and to invite stakeholders to communicate their feedback, concerns, and recommendations to Canada prior to finalizing the procurement documentation.

    POTENTIAL REQUIREMENT
Health Canada (HC) requires Contractors for the provision of nursing services to supplement internal HC resources, on an "as and when requested" basis, at different remote, semi-isolated and isolated First Nations community locations in the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.

The services provided by the Contractor’s nurses will encompass the care of patients, the conduct of programs designed to promote health and prevent diseases, and the provision of advice. The services may also include direct patient care to individuals, families and groups in the home and community, and consultation, dependent upon the demands of individual task authorization.

Canada anticipates that one contract will be awarded per Region (i.e. Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec) as a result of any resulting Request for Proposal (RFP).

The period of any resulting contract is anticipated to be for two years from the date of contract award and will include three irrevocable one-year option periods to extend the terms and conditions of the contract.

Canada anticipates using an Aboriginal Participation Component (APC) and a Performance Management Framework (PMF) in any resulting contract for these services.

    NATURE OF REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
This is not a bid solicitation. A contract will not result from this activity. This RFI will not necessarily result in any procurement action. Canada will not reimburse any respondent for expenses incurred in responding to this RFI.

    SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES
Responses may be submitted in either official language (English or French).

    FOLLOW-UP ACTIVITY
Canada does not anticipate any follow up activities to this RFI. However, Canada may, in its discretion, use other consultation mechanisms, including individual meetings with respondents and/or contacting any respondents for a follow up with additional questions or for clarification of any aspect of a response.

    Delivery Date: Above-mentioned

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
