Oceanographic Foam Floats

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has a requirement for the establishment of a standing offer for the supply and delivery of sub-surface syntactic foam flotation for oceanographic moorings. These floats are required to replace existing hollow steel spherical floats that have been identified as a potential safety hazard. These floats are designed to house and protect the oceanographic instruments that they are providing flotation for.

The requirement will cover two geographic zones, Zone 1 (Western Canada) and Zone 2 (Eastern Canada)

Up to two standing offers will be established, on a zone by zone basis.
The expected value of the total requirement is $90,000.00 per year, plus Applicable Taxes.

Period of the Standing Offer
The period of the standing offer is for two years with an additional option to extend the period of the standing offer by a one-year period.

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
