    Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid
    Competitive Procurement Strategy:
    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No
    Nature of Requirements:

    Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) conducts numerous marine fish and invertebrate research surveys in coastal waters off the west coast of British Columbia, including the following six survey types:
    1)  Synoptic Bottom Trawl;
    2)  Juvenile Salmon;
    3)  Multispecies Small-Mesh Bottom Trawl;
    4)  La Perouse Acoustic-Trawl;
    5) West Coast of Vancouver Island Night Trawl; and
    6)  Pacific Hake Acoustic-Trawl.

    DFO requires a contractor to provide a trawling vessel and its accompanying crew on an as and when requested basis to conduct the survey(s) as described in greater detail in the solicitation documents.
    A different vessel may be used to meet the requirements of each survey type however each individually tasked survey must be completed by a single vessel.
    Multiple contracts may be issued as a result of this solicitation however only one contract will be issued for each survey type.
    A bidder may submit a bid for one, some, or all survey type(s).

    The maximum funding available for the Contract resulting from the bid solicitation is $13,000.00 per day (Applicable Taxes extra). Bids valued in excess of this amount will be considered non-responsive. This disclosure does not commit Canada to pay the maximum funding available.

    All enquiries must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority by e-mailing michal.szczesniak@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca no later than 5 calendar days before the bid closing date. Enquiries received after that time may not be answered.

    It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that all addenda issued prior to solicitation closing have been obtained and addressed in the submitted bid. Bidders intending to submit bids should obtain solicitation documents from the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS) at http://BuyAndSell.gc.ca. Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS. Bidders basing their submissions on solicitation documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk.

    Due to the nature of the bid solicitation, bids transmitted bye-mail will not be accepted. Refer to Part 2 (Bidder Instructions) of the Solicitation for more information.

    Suppliers are required to have a Procurement Business Number (PBN) before contract award. Visit https://BuyAndSell.gc.ca/for-businesses/register-as-a-supplier for PBN registration instructions and to learn more about selling to the Government of Canada.

Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within 15 working days from receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
