As part of the development of a new procurement tool for parliamentary and conference interpretation services in official languages for the Translation Bureau 

INTRODUCTION

Acquisitions Branch (AB) and the Translation Bureau (the Bureau) from Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) have begun engagement activities with a view to developing a newprocurement tool for parliamentary and conference interpretation services in official languages for the Translation Bureau.

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT

AB and the Bureau have carried out the following engagement activities:
 
-  Information webinar entitled “Doing Business with the Government of Canada” (November 14, 2014)
-  Initial meetings with the industry (April 13 to 17, 2015)

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

Publication of a draft Request for Standing Offer

The purpose of this RFI is to gather comments and suggestions from the industry regarding the draft Request for Standing Offer (RFSO) and response forms (Sections I and II). 

Focus groups

From November 30 to December 4, 2015, AB and the Bureau are organizing a series of focus groups inorder to discuss the draft RFSO and response forms (Sections I and II).

NATURE OF THE RFI

This RFI is not a bid solicitation and will not result in the award of any contract or the creation of a source list. Potential suppliers of the services described in this RFI should not reserve stock or facilities, or allocate resources, as a result of any information contained in this RFI. Furthermore, the services described in this RFI will not necessarily result in the procurement of such services. This RFI is simply intended to solicit comments and suggestions from the industry with respect to its contents. Not responding to this RFI will not preclude any potential supplier from participating in any other consultative processes or future solicitations.
