MAINFRAME LEGACY APPLICATION MIGRATION PROJECT


1.	PURPOSE OF 'REQUEST FOR INFORMATION'

The purpose of the Request for Information (RFI) is to seek
feedback from industry based on the accompanying project
information and objectives provided.  It is requested that
Industry respond to the series of questions attached. 

Once the information provided by Industry in response to this
RFI has been reviewed, HRSDC intends to develop and release a
draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for further consideration and
comment.  The actual solicitation for this requirement is
scheduled to commence in the fall of 2013.


2.	REQUIREMENT

The HRSDC Unisys mainframe platform hosts mission critical
applications such as those supporting the Employment Insurance
program, Integrity Services, HR and Financial Management.  The
objective of this project is to migrate all applications
currently residing on the Unisys mainframe to a new distributed
platform by June 2016.
