Description
On January 10, 2023, Canada issued an Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) (Solicitation WS3821290171 / Client Ref No. 08834-200400/E) allowing for Interested Parties to pre-qualify for Security Screening Equipment in 2 streams. Stream 1: Conveyor-Style baggage x-ray machines (X-ray); and Stream 2: Walk-Through Metal Detectors (WTMD). The ITQ closed on January 25, 2023 at 1400hrs EDT. This notice serves to announce the Qualified Respondents (QR) as a result of the responses received from the ITQ. ITQ Evaluation Results: The QRs are (in alphabetical order): Stream 1: Conveyor-Style baggage x-ray machines (X-ray) a. Astrophysics Inc.; b. K’(Prime) Technologies Inc.; c. Rapiscan Systems Inc; d. Scintrex Trace Corporation; and e. Smiths Detection Montreal Inc. Stream 2: Walk-Through Metal Detectors (WTMD) a. Astrophysics Inc.; b. K’(Prime) Technologies Inc.; c. Rapiscan Systems Inc.; and d. Smiths Detection Montreal Inc. At this time, only the listed QRs will be invited to participate in the subsequent phases of the Security Screening Equipment procurement process.

The estimated contract period will be 4 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/10/12.
