The Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) requires the services of a third-party expert (Contractor) to provide support in telephone interpretation services. The primary objective of the project is to ensure that clients who do not speak one of Canada’s official languages have access to the same level of service as those that do. The successful bidder will be capable of interpreting English or French to multiple different languages and vice-versa. The Contractor will provide interpretation services to support inspectors conducting employer compliance inspections and assist call centre agents with the intake of tips/allegations via the TFWP Tip line (1-866-602-9448).

The successful bidder will be capable of interpreting English or French to multiple different languages and vice-versa. At a minimum, the following interpretations would be required:
English to: French, Spanish, Mandarin, Punjabi, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Hungarian, Polish, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Farsi, Tamil, Hindi, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, Greek, Tagalog, Thai. (Total: 20)
French to: English, Spanish, Mandarin, Punjabi, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Hungarian, Polish, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Farsi, Tamil, Hindi, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, Greek, Tagalog, Thai. (Total: 20)
