Smith Beach Creek Channel Repair

SCOPE OF WORK
.1 Work covered by this contract consists mainly in the rehabilitation of a portion of the creek
at the Smith Beach of Lac Philippe, in Gatineau Park, located near Ste-Cécile de
Masham, Quebec and includes, but is not limited to, the following:
.1 Erosion and sediment control, including creek diversion and settling pond
.2 Salvage and adjust existing temporary fencing
.3 Salvage, pot, store and water existing plant material for re-use
.4 Excavation, backfilling and site grading of new channel (salvaged and
new fill material)
.5 Supply and installation of angular stone (riprap) and key stone boulders
.6 Salvage and re-installation of rounded riverstone
.7 Topsoil and finish grading
.8 Seeding (broadcast and/or hydroseeding)
.9 Supply and installation of coir erosion control mat
.10 Recover, stockpile and re-plant plant material
.11 Maintenance of re-plant plant material (1 year)
.12 Rehabilitation of disturbed areas


A NON MANDATORY site visit will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10am Ottawa time. The exact meeting place is on site at Smith Beach (use the main Gatineau Park entrance to Lac Philippe off of hwy 366) , Gatineau Park, Chelsea, Qc. All costs incurred by the Bidder to attend the site visit will be at their expense. The NCC will not reimburse any Bidder for expenses related to the site visit.
