INVITATION TO TENDER NOTICE Solicitation #: FP802-140350 Closing Date: Friday, January 23nd 2015 Time for solicitation closure: 14:00 EDT This Invitation to Tender is for the department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Title: Repairs of 14 floating steel docks in Sept-Iles, QC Closing Location(s): Location #1 – For electronic submissions ONLY Please send your electronic proposal at: Lynda.Coulombe@dfo-mpo.gc.ca Location #2 - For hard copy submissions and bid bonds Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Attention: Lynda Coulombe Procurement Hub – Ottawa Office, Station 9W079, 9th Floor, 200 Kent Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0E6 Please Note: All bids bonds are to be submitted in hard copy prior to the bid closing date to the mailing address indicated above whether the bid submission is sent to Location #1 or Location #2. Introduction/Background: The required work consist of: 1) the repair or approximately 28 20mm sections of fragile steel on docks, 2) the preparation of 6 faces of docks, 3) the painting of 6 faces of docks, 4) the installation of 154 corrosion anodes supplied by DFO, 5) transport and secure manipulation of docks to begin and end the project; and 6) and the installation of docks on the waters at the end of works. The Contractor must provide materials and labour for all work, except the anodes that are supplied by DFO. The Contractor must have a RBQ licence. Mandatory Requirements: • The minimum acceptable amount of Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance is $2,000,000.00 per occurrence. All tenders must be accompanied by confirmation from the tenderer’s insurance company that the required insurance will be available upon contract award; • The tenderer must provide tender security, at the tenderer’s own cost, in accordance with the document entitled "Tender Security Requirements" as Bid Security is required for bids over $100,000. Under these circumstances, the Tender and original signed Bid Bond must be delivered to the Closing Location prior to closing date. Note: All tender securities will be returned except that of the successful tenderer, which will be retained until the successful tenderer has provided contract security. Location of work: The docks are presently out of the water at the harbour of Sept-Iles on the North Shore. The work should be done at the contractor’s site. Expected Start and Completion Dates The services of the Contractor will be commencing on award of the Contract. The expected completion date of this project is March 13th 2015, date at which the docks must be put in place in the waters. Security Requirement: There is no security requirement for this project. Ownership of Intellectual Property: Not Applicable.
