Staff Housing Design – Waterton Lakes National Parks

Requirement:

For the provision of architecture services, prime consultant services with multi-engineering services to provide a full range of professional services, including, but not limited to investigation, planning, design, construction administration and post construction professional services.  

The project is primarily within the Community of Waterton, Alberta located in Waterton Lakes National Park, approximately 42 km south of Pincher Creek, Alberta.

Project will include construction of a number of new buildings on separate vacant lots in the community, and demolition of existing 31 bed bunkhouse building located in the Operational Compound approximately 0.5Km outside the community boundary. 

The scope of work will include any combination of the services identified as basic services and/or additional services, including sub-consultants: landscaping architecture, hazardous material specialist, architecture, civil engineering, surveying, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, cost management, scheduling management, and any other specialty professionals’ services as proposed by the prime consultant.

Optional Site Visit:

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on June 4, 2015 at 1:00pm MDT. The site visit will begin at the Parks Canada Operational Building, 1 Compound Road3rd meeting room, Waterton Lakes National Park.

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the optional site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
All travel and living costs associated with travel for the purpose of attending the Site Visit will be borne by the Bidder or their representative.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
