    TITLE:
    HIGHWAY 430 - SEGMENT C REHABILITATION IN GROS MORNE NATIONAL PARK, NL

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
    Parks Canada Agency (PCA) has a requirement for construction services to rehabilitate 13.3 km of Highway 430 between km 26.800 and km 40.117 in Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland (also known as Segment C). Note that km 0.00 is located at the park entrance in Wiltondale and that km 40.117 is at the intersection to Lobster Cove Road. Work on this project consists generally of, but is not limited to, the milling of the entire length and width of 13.3 km of highway 430, the replacement of all culverts, upgrades to 2 intersections to accommodate acceleration and deceleration lanes, as well as placement of new asphalt concrete, all in accordance with the plans and specifications forming part of the bid document.

    OPTIONAL SITE VISITS:

    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at the Gros Morne Visitors Center Parking Lot on February 17, 2016. The site visit will begin at 13:00 NST.

    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 16:00 NST, February 16, 2016 to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

    NOTE TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS:
    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    DELIVERY DATE:
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work on or before October 31, 2016
