    Voyageurs Pathway – Leamy Lake Discharge - Pedestrian Bridge Reconstruction, Gatineau

    Project concerns the replacement of an existing pedestrian bridge with a 65 metres long one-span steel prefabricated bridge at Leamy Lake Discharge (Gatineau Boom) near Fournier Boulevard in Gatineau. Construction works include the mobilisation/demobilisation, including site clean-up and re-instatement of damaged areas, environmental protection measures and other related works, pedestrian pathway detour on Fournier Boulevard to maintain pathway traffic, the entire demolition of the existing superstructure and the partial demolition of piers for the existing bridge, the installation of the piles and pier caps, the design, fabrication and installation of the prefabricated bridge, all works related to the excavation and transportation of contaminated soil so to eliminate them towards authorized sites, all works related to the installation of reinforced earth retaining walls and of rip-rap, of a belvedere with landscape on the side of the east approach, and backfill, grading and levelling, pathway foundation asphalting, sodding, seeding, etc. Take note that no construction work is allowed under the natural high water line (NHWL) or into or over waterways from 1st April to 15th of July due to environmental constraints. However construction work can be executed behind existing abutments if it does not affect the waterways.

    A NON MANDATORY site visit will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10am Ottawa time. The exact meeting place is 80, blvd Fournier (see google maps link below), Gatineau, Qc. All costs incurred by the Bidder to attend the site visit will be at their expense. The NCC will not reimburse any Bidder for expenses related to the site visit.
