WORK SITE LOCATION
Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories
DELIVERABLES / SCOPE OF WORK
The DFO-owned building in Tuktoyaktuk, located north of the Community’s main air strip, was used as a laboratory, research and storage facility by Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The building is no longer used, is in a derelict condition and the site has been identified as surplus to departmental operational needs.
The purpose of this project is to remove contaminated materials, demolish the building, foundation, other site elements and backfill and grade excavation to surrounding elevation.
The work under this contract shall include the following:
- Hazardous materials abatement as per specifications
- Demolition and removal of the building, foundation and any other site elements such as fencing, walkways, sampling box, skid shed, parking pads and various materials stored outside the warehouse building as per specifications
- Backfill and grade excavation to surrounding elevation
EXPECTED START AND COMPLETION DATES
The services of the Contractor will be commencing upon contract award. The expected completion date of this project is March 31, 2017.
