SCOPE OF WORK / DELIVERABLES
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans at the Sea Lamprey Control Centre (DFO-SLCC) operates a trap-and-sort fishway at the Big Creek site during the sea lamprey spawning season (mid-March to mid-July). The existing steel traps are being replaced with traps fabricated using a combination of steel and aluminium alloys to improve manual operation. Subsequently the existing monorail, fishway grating and hoist need to be replaced to ensure compatibility with the new trap, in terms of operating design load. The design and construction drawings for the new monorail, fishway grating, electrical hoist and accessories have been completed and DFO-SLCC would now like to proceed with construction.
The successful bidder will obtain materials, and fabricate and install the monorail and its components, including the supporting system, foundation connections and fishway grating covers, as specified in the approved drawings. (Attached to this solicitation).
The work includes supply and installation of electric and manual backup chain hoists and accessories.
EXPECTED START AND COMPLETION DATES
The services of the Contractor will be commencing upon award of the contract. The expected completion date of this project is August 31, 2017.
