    Notice to suppliers—Request For Information on Workflow and Data Management System for Tobacco Control Inspections and Reporting June 7, 2018

    June 7, 2018— Ottawa— Health Canada is releasing a Request For Information (RFI) to determine which software providers have Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions that meet, or can be configured to meet, the business needs of the National Tobacco Control Program, and the level of functionality available in these products.

    Why participate

    The Government of Canada is engaging diverse stakeholders on potential implementation models for documentation workflow and data management system for Tobacco Control Program-related inspections and reporting.

    In support of this activity, Health Canada is releasing this RFI, soliciting industry for available COTS solutions that meet, or can be configured to meet, the business needs of the National Tobacco Control Program, and the level of functionality currently available in these products.

    Respondents are invited to answer in writing the RFI questions and provide their comments, suggestions, and concerns and, where applicable, alternative recommendations regarding how the objectives or the outcomes described in this RFI could be satisfied.

    We encourage all suppliers to participate.

    How to participate

    Respondents should send their responses to the contact identified below by July 20, 2018 at 12:00 EDT. Submissions must be properly identified with the Respondent name and email address, the RFI number and the RFI title appearing legibly. Detailed submission requirements are included in the RFI.

    Note to Respondents

    This is not a bid solicitation and a contract will not result.

    Potential respondents are advised that any information submitted to the government in response to this Request for Information may be used by the government in the development of a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP).

    The issuance of this Request for Information does not create an obligation for Canada to issue a subsequent RFP.

    It should also be noted that no agreement to do business with any respondent will result from this specific enquiry.
