Garage Refit and Enlargement - Saint-Paul-de-l ‘Île-aux-Noix, Fort Lennox National Historic Site

Requirement:

Fort Lennox National Historic Site requires a Contractor to perform all the work associated with expanding and refitting the existing garage. The work will include the partial demolition at the location defined on the plans and specifications. The Contractor will carry out the excavations necessary for the enlargement and for all the elements of the aqueduct, sanitary, electrical (if necessary), and for the modification of the parking. The new layout and enlargement will have to be completed according to the plans and specifications. The work will be carried out under the supervision of the project manager.

The work will have to be done with the least impact on the environment. See specifications for further details on the requirements of this project.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $250,001 and $ 500,000, taxes extra.

Optional Site Visit:

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at the existing Parks Canada garage, 1, 61st Av, St-Paul de l'Île-aux-Noix, QC J0J 1G0 on 24 April 2019. The site visit will begin at 10:00 (local time).

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 23 April 2019 at 12:00 ADT to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

Enquiries regarding this bid must be submitted in writing and should be received no later than five (5) business days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer NOT being provided.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
