    5P420-19-0109/A Illecillewaet Stone Arch Culvert – Glacier National Park

    REQUIREMENT

     

    Parks Canada Agency requires a contractor to perform work to address undermining of the structural foundation of stone arch culvert due to river erosion with hydraulic design and stream re-profiling.

    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between

    $100,001 > $ 250,000, Taxes extra.

    TWO-ENVELOPE BID

    This Bid shall be submitted following a ‘’two-envelope’’ procedure. Refer to SI04 of the special Instruction to Bidders.

     

    Period of Contract / DELIVERY DATE

    Contractor shall perform and complete the Work no later than August 31, 2019

    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

    1. There will be an optional site visit on Friday June 14, 2019 at 11:00 am PDT. Interested bidders are to meet at Illecillewaet Campground, Glacier National Park. (https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/bc/glacier/visit/loger-stay/camping#frontcountry) 3km West of Rogers Pass National Historic Site. We will park near and meet at the information kiosk. The site, Illecillewaet Stone Arch Culvert, is less than 1km walk from the kiosk. It is highly recommended that bidders attend the optional site visit.

    2. Safety Attire – It is recommended that all persons attending the site visit wear appropriate footwear (ex. hiking boots with good tread) as the site has steep banks. Bear spray is also recommended.

       

      Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the optional site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

     

    ENQUIRIES

     

    All enquiries of a technical and contractual nature are to be submitted to the Contracting Authority.

    Enquiries regarding this bid must be submitted in writing and should be received no later than five (5) business days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer NOT being provided.

     

     

    INFORMATION:

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
