    TITLE: Iqaluit Building Demolition, Coast Guard Iqaluit MCTS RX Site, Iqaluit, Nunavut

    BACKGROUND

    The Canadian Coast Guard has a requirement for demolition construction services at an Iqaluit Building from the Canadian Coast Guard Iqaluit MCTS RX Site, located in Iqaluit, NU

    Work under this contract includes but is not limited to the provision of all labour, materials, and equipment required to complete the following:

    1. Remove and dispose of any items not identified for salvage that are remaining inside the building;

    2. Demolish unused equipment building;

    3. Drawings of the building are provided in Appendix D.

    4. Ship all waste materials to a licensed waste disposal facility; and

    5. Supply and install a 20 ft standard shipping container on the remaining concrete foundation.

    The following work is hereby excluded:

    • Demolition and disposal of the building’s concrete foundation.

    Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement (CLCA):

    This procurement is subject to the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement.

    This requirement is limited to Inuit businesses on the Inuit Firm Registry (IFR).

    - This procurement is set aside from the international trade agreements under the provision each has for measures with respect to Aboriginal people or for set-asides for small and minority businesses.

    - Further to Article 800 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), CFTA does not apply to this procurement.

    - This procurement is subject to The Agreement between the Inuit of the Nunavut Settlement Area and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada (The Nunavut Agreement).

    Contractor Selection:

    The Contractor selection will be based on the highest responsive combined rating of IBP and price. The ratio will be 30% Inuit Benefits Plan and 70% for the price.

    CONTRACT PERIOD

    From date of award to September 30, 2020

    TRAVEL AND LIVING EXPENSES

    Canada will not pay any travel or living expenses associated with performing the Work.

    SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

    There is no security requirement for this contract.

    BID SECURITY:

    For bids greater than 100K, the Bidder shall submit bid security with the tender in the form

    of a bid bond or a security deposit, with original signature(s).

    The Bid Security shall be submitted in accordance with section GI08 Bid Security Requirements
