    The Department of National Defence (DND) has identified a requirement for Repair and Overhaul (R&O) services for the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank (MBT) Chassis Track and Suspension Components.
    
    The Contractor must provide Repair and Overhaul (R&O) including, but no
    t limited to: inspection, disassembly, repair, reassembly, testing, use 
    
    of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, packaging, technical data management, integrated logistics and maintenance support, labour and materials on an as and when required basis for all items listed.
    
    The period of performance will be for a duration of three (3) firm ye
    ars from the date of contract award with an option to extend the period 
    
    of performance by three (3) additional one (1) year periods
    
    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT). 
    
    This requirement falls within the framework of the Defence Procurement Strategy announced on February 5, 2014, therefore, the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) with Value Proposition (VP) will not be applied.

    This procurement is subject to the Controlled Goods Program. The De
    fence Production Act defines Canadian Controlled Goods as certain goods 
    listed
     in Canada's Export Control List, a Regulation made pursuant to the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA).
    
    The Federal Contractors Program (FCP) for employment equity applies to this procurement; see Part 5 - Certifications, Part 7 - Resulting Contract Clauses and the annex titled Federal Contractors Program for Employment Equity - Certification
    
    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
