Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice (APN)

This is not a bid solicitation. This APN is to notify industry of a potential upcoming opportunity for the provision of architectural and engineering services for the Supreme Court of Canada Building Rehabilitation. Furthermore, allow industry additional time to apply for requisite security clearances. This APN is not to be considered as a commitment to issue a subsequent solicitation or award contract(s) for the work described herein.

    Project Objectives

The project intent is to rehabilitate the SCCB for judicial functions and operations of SCC and the courtroom functions of the Federal Courts. Rehabilitation is necessary to address risks associated with the deteriorated condition of this iconic and historic building and to provide a state-of-the-art facility that meets the accommodation requirements of a 21st century judiciary.

    Security Clearance Information

The security requirement will be a mandatory evaluation criterion of any resulting RFP and is anticipated that Proponents must hold a valid Facility Security Clearance at the level of SECRET, issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), or an International equivalent, at the time of bid closing.

Obtaining security clearances can be a lengthy process; therefore, PWGSC recommends interested suppliers apply for appropriate clearances as soon as possible by completing a Request for Private Sector Organization Screening.
