Project description: Two buildings at Tunney's Pasture are to undergo heating and cooling system conversions from steam to low temperature hot water. The conversions will involve a combination of hydraulic and steam heating (including process steam for humidification and other purposes). All work (besides delivery of supplies and project staging/lay down) will occur within the building structure itself. The portion of the steam distribution network outside the building footprint will not be altered.

Work is to be completed within seventy-five (75) weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $5M+

MANDATORY INDUSTRIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
 
Thisprocurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS) at level of Reliability Status. Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and nofurther consideration will be given to the Bid. 

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: 

There will be a site visit held on Thursday, September 29th at 10:00AM.  Bidders are to meet at the main lobby (west side of building off of Tunney's Pasture Driveway) of R.H Coats building, 100 Tunney's Pasture Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0T6. Contractors must bring valid photo I.D for sign-in. 

Health & Safety: Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certified safety booots must be worn. 

Parking: There is pay parking on the Tunney's Pasture campus or nearby street parking. It is the responsibility of the prospective contractors to find and pay for their own parking.
