AND THERE WILL BE A SECOND OPTIONAL SITE VISIT ON WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 24, 2014 AT 9:30 AM TO 11:30 AM (FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SEE SITE VISIT BELOW).*** ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: EJ192-150405/A, R.010550.014, Central Experimental Farm, Heating Plant Decommissioning and Demolition, 78 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, ON Project description: Heating Plant Decommissioning and Demolition Project Work is to be completed within forty-five (45) weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $1,000,000-$5,000,000.00. MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT: This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS) . Failure to comply with this requirement will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: 1. Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) strongly suggests and recommends that interested bidders attend the site visit which will be held on Thursday September 11, 2014 from 9am to 12pm. interested bidders are to meet at Central Experimental Farm, 78 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, Ontario. 2. Interested bidders are permitted to park in the adjacent parking lot of the Canadian Agriculture and Food Museum and must pay for parking according to the time of their visit. There is no other parking available on site. 3. Due to the nature of the requirement bidders must allow extra time to sign in and out at the front entrance of the Plant. 4. Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have the proper safety footwear (CSA approved green patch). Hard hats and a minimum N95 type respirators are also required. Contractor personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire will be denied access to the site. Enquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Amendments, when issued, will be available from the same government electronic tendering service.
