    Project description:
    The project consists of a 2.0 office fit-up of 1,413m2 on the commercial level of the C.D. Howe building located downtown Ottawa. The fit-up includes minor demolition, newpartitionning (including enhanced security partitions and fire rated assemblies) and washroom facilities. The space will be completely refinished including ceilings, wall and floor finishes and custom millwork. New lightning and electrical distribution will also be implemented along with new Air Handling Units which will require slab and exterior wall penetrations and reinforcement. 
    
    Work is to be completed within 26 weeks after contract award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is withinthe following category: $1M to $5M. 
    
    MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
    This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement. At bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS). Failure to comply with this requirementwill render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration will be given to the Bid. Also, the Contractor/Offerer personnel requiring access to sensitive work site(s) must each hold a Reliability Status granted or approved by CISD/PWGSC. 
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Building C.D. Howe, 235 Queen Street, Ottawa, Ontario on Wednesday November 9, 2016. The site visit will begin at 10:00 a.m. (EST) in the C3 level lobby. 
    
    A validphoto ID will be required to be guaranteed access to the building. Note that there is a pay parking underneath the building. Bidders will be responsible for costs associated with parking. 
    
    Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative willnot be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
