    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
    
    A portion of this procurement has been set aside under the federal government's Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB). In order to be considered, a supplier must certify that it qualifies as an Aboriginal business as defined under PSAB and that it will comply with all requirements of PSAB
    
    There is no Security Requirement. 
    
    Transport Canada requires the removal and disposal of 13 vessels in locations throughout the Atlantic Region, as follows:

    5 Arnold's Cove Grey (Unknown Vessel); the Main Road, Arnold's Cove, NL
    6 Fleur de Lys (Two Unknown Vessels); Fleur de Lys Harbour, Fleur de Lys, NL
    7 Mary Ruth; Southport Harbour, NL
    8 The Braithwaite Bailey; Swift Current, NL
    9 Bernard N. Seeley; Baker's Island Yarmouth, NS
    10 Brunswick Mariner; in the Port of Yarmouth, Yarmouth, NS

    For this Invitation to Tender, bidders are able to submit a bid for one or more vessels. The minimum number of vessels to submit for is one, and there is no maximum. Bidders may submit for any number of vessels from one to all 13. Each vessel will be evaluated and awarded separately, so the intent is to issue a total of 13 Contracts as a result of this Invitation to Tender. 
    
    SITE VISIT: 
    Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, no site visit has been scheduled. 
    
    BIDDERS CONFERENCE: 
    A bidders' conference will be held via teleconference on August 12, 2020 at 10:00am ADT.
    
    INQUIRIES: 
    All inquiries of a technical nature and all questions of a contractual nature are to be submitted to the Contracting Authority: Leanne Nowakowski, leanne.nowakowski@pwgsc.gc.ca, facsimile: (902) 496-5016. Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. 
    
    Value of Project:  To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001.00 and $5,000,000.00. (For all 13 vessels)

    Effective April 1, 2020: 
    Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the mail room in Halifax will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 3:00pm (local time), closed on Fridays. 
    Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.  
    Please monitor Buyandsell.gc.ca closely as changes to bid closing dates may be necessary.
