Trade Agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: YES (MERX) Electronic Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: CCTV SYSTEM AT EDMONTON INSTITUTION 21120-158586/A McLaughlin, Michael Telephone No. - (819) 956-3622 michael.mclaughlin@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca The Correctional Service of Canada plans to install: · an integrated Public Address and Intercom system at the Edmonton Institution in Edmonton, Alberta to replace the existing PA and Intercom System, and · a Public Address system at Saskatchewan Penitentiary, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to replace the existing PA and Intercom capability. This Statement of Technical Requirements (STR) defines the specific requirements for these systems at both locations, as follows: Saskatchewan Penitentiary In the Medium security portion of the institution, PA capability currently exists only in the East and West wing cell blocks and the gymnasium area. This existing system will be replaced and integrated with the Institution wide system required PA system. In the Unit 6 Maximum security portion of the institution, PA capability currently exists in the ranges, common rooms and exercise yard areas. This existing system will be replaced and integrated with the Institution wide system required PA system. In addition, paging coverage will be extended to additional areas where none currently exists. Recording capability will be added to the new systems installed and extended to include the existing PA system at Unit 7 through integration with the existing Voice Logging and Recording System. Edmonton Institution Paging coverage will be extended to additional areas where none currently exists. Recording capability will be added to the new systems installed and extended to include the existing PA system at the new 96 Bed Unit. Locations: Edmonton Institution 21611 Meridian Street PO Box 2290 Edmonton, Alberta T5J 3H7 Saskatchewan Penitentiary Maximum/Medium: 15th Street West PO Box 160 Prince Albert, Saskatchewan S6V 5R6 The work includes the supply, installation, testing and provision of operational and technical training on the PA system as described in the Statement of Technical Requirements (STR). Work will have to be accomplished with minimum disruption to the daily operation and security of the institution, and the work is requested to be completed within 30 weeks after contract award. Mandatory site visits will be held as follows: Location: Edmonton Institution Date : February 11th 2015 Time: 9:00am Location: Saskatchewan Penitentiary Date : February 12th 2015 Time: 9:00am Bidders must attend the mandatory site visit in order to bid on this solicitation process. The bidder must have at least one attendee at the site visit (maximum 2 attendee's per bidder) and the onus is on the bidders to arrive at the site in a timely manner. Bidders arriving late may not be permitted to attend the site visit. It is also a mandatory condition of this requirement that all attendees have a site clearance prior to each site visit. To apply for the site clearance, the bidders shall complete a CPIC Clearance Request form (preferably in typed format) along with a photocopy of the attendees driver's license and submit the duly completed and signed forms by each participant, by email to michael.mclaughlin@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca or by fax to Mike McLaughlin (819) 953-4944 It is a mandatory condition that the CPIC Clearance Request form and a photocopy of the persons driver's license be submitted for the site visit. It is requested that the CPIC Clearance Requests be received by this office no later than 2:00pm EST on February 6th 2015. Site Clearance Request Forms received after February 6th 2015 will not be accepted. A site clearance obtained for work performed under similar requirements is not acceptable. Note: After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within 15 working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process.
