Part 1: Send your comments in either official language of Canada to Bid Receiving - PWGSC on or before June 4, 2012. A copy of the Request for Supply Arrangement will only be available at the solicitation process. Attached for your review and comments are copies of the Purchase Descriptions / Specifications. Please provide your comments regarding the following questions: 1) Is Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) Office Seating product specifications deemed meaningful? a) Are they relevant? b) Are there any areas in the specifications unnecessary? Please substantiate your response. c) Are the specifications deemed necessary? Please substantiate your response. 2) Are there any chair configurations that do not appear in this Letter of Interest which Canada desire? a) If yes, please identify those chairs and provide the specifications if not already addressed. b) Of those chairs, please provide general statistics on the volume sold to Canada in the last 2 years. Part 2: Send your comments in either official language of Canada to Bid Receiving - PWGSC on or before June 12, 2012. You are being sent this Letter of interest amendment as a supplier who registered under the Goods and Services Identification Number 7110 (Office Furniture) in the Government of Canada's Supplier Registration Information Service (SRI). http://contractscanada.gc.ca/inscr-rgstr-eng.html As per the National Procurement Strategy for Furniture Procurement, PWGSC will strive to attain an optimal balance between influencing suppliers and government departments to use environmentally preferable goods, services and processes while ensuring value to Canadians. PWGSC is recommending to continue the GC environmental criteria as well as the BIFMA Furniture Sustainability Standard e3-2011 as the basis for the mandatory and optional environmental criteria for future office furniture solicitations. As in past solicitations, PWGSC is considering including mandatory and optional environmental criteria in upcoming solicitations for office furniture. The Contracting Authority is looking for supplier input in this area to make sure requirements are feasible and industry is capable of meeting it. We are seeking your feedback on the attached questionnaire located in solicitation amendment # 002. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
