Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the renovations to the Services Canada Building in Woodstock, New Brunswick The work shall include some fit-up and base building work to refit the ESDC space as well as some base building in some of the adjacent common areas. Demolition work and construction work for a new multipurpose room, telecommunication room, kitchenette, storage room, office area and public area shall be completed. The work shall include but is not limited to the supply and install of all products, services, labour, materials and equipment in order to meet the requirements of the drawings and specifications. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.077236.001 forming part of the bid document. The contract completion is eighteen (18) weeks after contract award. There will be an optional site visit on September 3, 2014 at 10:00 am. All interested bidders are to meet at main entrance of the Service Canada Building, 680 Main Street, Woodstock, New Brunswick. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than one day before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the names of the person(s) who will attend. Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternate appointment, but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications included in the solicitation documents requires attention. A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $250,001 - $500,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and contract security for construction is required. Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Standard bid and contract security for construction is required. Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender documents through the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS). Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS. Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and contract documents.
