    Background: The building has dual significance, as the focus of
    Prince Edward Island government and administration for the past
    150 years, and as the birthplace of Canada. It was designated a
    National Historic Site in 1966 as a nationall significant
    building, and again in 1980 as a court house of national
    historic and architectural significance. The reasons for
    national significance are that:
    	-the building was the site of the Charlottetown Conference of
    1864, which led to 			confederation in 1867;
    	-it is a fine example of the neo-classical architectural style;
    and
    	-it is representative of the judicial institution of Prince
    Edward Island.
    The Province House has also been designated for its historic
    value by the city of Charlottetown and the province of Prince
    Edward Island.

    Prime Consultant; Proponent - Architect
     Key Sub-consultant/Specialists: Conservation Structural

    Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using
    the total score established as follows: Technical Rating x 90% =
    Technical Score (Points) Price Rating x 10% = Price Score
    (Points) Total Score = 100%
    This is a One Phase Procedure, Request for Proposal (RFP) based
    upon the requirements of the RFP document and the Project Brief.
    The successful proponent will be required to enter into a
    Standard Architectural & Engineering Services Contract (Terms
    and Conditions are included in the RFP).
    Within the RFP Document, the Crown sets out the project
