Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the replacement of the existing wall cladding and windows at the Nicholas Denys Building located in Bathurst, New Brunswick. The bulk of the project consists of the replacement of the existing wall cladding and windows including some structural work as well as minor mechanical and electrical work. The project also includes the construction of a temporary swing space within the building as well as the dismantling and relocation of workstations during each phase. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work described in the specifications and plans for project number R.051357.001. Contract completion is to be seventy-six (76) weeks after contract award. It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional site visit October 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. All interested bidders are to meet at the main entrance of the Nicholas Denys Building at 120 Harbourview Blvd., Bathurst, New Brunswick. Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority 1 day before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointmentbut they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications included in the solicitation documents requires attention. The estimatedcost for this opportunity is within the following category: $5,000,001> (HST excluded). Standard bid and contract security for construction is required.
