    The work for this Contract comprises of the removal of a Jet A fuel-dispensing system and installation of a new replacement system. The system stores jet fuel for use in DFO/CCG helicopters. The system is located at the DFO/CG facility located at Southwest Head on Grand Manan Island, NB.
    
    The work will be completed by a licensed petroleum contractor in the province of New Brunswick. 
    The Contractor is responsible to supply and install all equipment related to the upgrades associated with his work.
    
    In general, the Contractor shall perform and complete the work to be carried out as described on the design and drawings and the specifications for project number R.070007.017 forming part of the bid document.
    
    The work will progress in two phases as a result of anticipated long delivery timeframes for the Jet A fuel-dispensing cabinet. Theexisting Jet A fuel-dispensing system shall remain in service until the new system installation is complete and has been successfully commissioned.
    
    The work is to be completed by May 31, 2017.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    
    There will be an optional site visit on January 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm Atlantic Standard Time. Interested bidders are to meet at the Southwest Head Light House in Grand Manan, New Brunswick. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than one day before the scheduledvisit to confirm attendance and provide the names of the person(s) who will attend. Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work.
    
    Bidders whodo not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternate appointment, but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendmentto the bid solicitation.
    
    
    A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, NB.
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $100,001 - $250,000 (HST included).
