    Project Title:  St. Clair River, Ontario. Southeast Bend Cutoff
    Channel and Stokes Point.  Maintenance Navigational Dredging
    2013.

    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement on
    behalf of the Fisheries and 
    Oceans Canada, Canadian Coast Guard to the secure a contract for
    maintenance dredging of the cutoff channel on the St. Clair
    River, South East Bend.  
    
    Work of this contract comprises of (Dredging and disposal
    quantities are approximately):
    
    -	Scenario A, 29,400 cubic meters place measurement (CMPM) in
    the channel in areas A2, A3, A4, and A5;
    
    -	Scenario B, 33,900 cubic meters place measurement (CMPM) in
    the channel in areas A3, A4, A5 and A6;
    
    -	Scenario C, 40,800 cubic meters place measurement (CMPM) in
    the channel in areas A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, and A6;
    
    A certificate of qualification is required from Industry Canada
    (IC) and must accompany your bid submission.  
    
    Disposal of the material will be at the United States Army Corps
    of Engineers (USACE) Dickinson Island Confined Disposal Facility
    (CDF) in the USA. 
    
    The scenarios detailed above, which identify the eight different
    areas of dredging work, are from smallest to largest. 
    
    To be compliant, the contractor must submit the required
    detailed experience on similar projects of size and scope. They
    must also provide confirmation from the USACE that they are able
    to enter into the agreement with the USACE for the disposal of
    the material. A copy of the agreement is included in the tender
    package so contractors are aware of their responsibilities.
    Contractors are responsible to maintain a US $100,000 deposit
    with the USACE (detailed in the specifications) for the duration
    and until the dumping is completed. 
     
    OPTIONAL DISPOSAL SITE VISIT:
    The disposal facility specified in this contract is owned by the
    Unites States Army Corps of Engineers.  It is recommended that
    the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit this location
    during the bid period.  Bidders who intend to visit this
    location must communicate with the Contracting Authority, Jim
    Cowieson at (416) 512-5829, or jim.cowieson@pwgsc.gc.ca  2 days
    prior, to arrange a date and time for the site visit.
    
    Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be
    precluded from submitting a bid.  
    
    The duration of work is schedule to be completed within 10 (TEN)
    weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
    cost category:
