    SCOPE OF WORK:
    
    Dam Safety Review (DSR) of seven sites. The seven sites are in
    two distinct regions, the Upper Kawartha region and the Lower
    Severn region. The Upper Kawartha sites consist of Rosedale Dam
    & Lock 35, Little Bob River Dam, Victoria Road Dams, Burleigh
    Falls Dam & Lock 28 and Buckhorn Dam & Lock 31. The Lower Severn
    sites consist of Whites Portage Dam and Six Mile Lake Dams. The
    reviews are to be undertaken on the concrete dams, earthworks
    and locks, in accordance with the Directive for Dam Safety
    Program of Parks Canada Dams and Water-Retaining Structures, and
    the Dam Safety Guidelines (2007) of the Canadian Dam Association
    (CDA).  Given the broad scope of the dam safety reviews, Public
    Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf of Parks
    Canada agency, intends to retain  a firm of consulting engineers
    with hydro-technical, hydraulic, and specific dam safety review
    experience to successfully complete the work.
    
    RFP DETAILS:
    
    This Request for Proposal (RFP) is a One-Phase process,
    Proponents responding to this RFP are requested to submit only
    one proposal. Proposals are to cover the achievements of the
    Proponent on projects, expertise and experience of the Lead
    Engineer, expertise and experience of key sub-consultant and/or
    specialists, understanding of the project, scope of services,
    approach and methodology, management of services and pricing.
    The Proponent whose responsive proposal achieves the highest
    total score is the first entity that the PWGSC Evaluation Board
    will recommend be approached in order to finalize details of an
    agreement for the provision of the required services.
    
    The purpose is to select the highest ranked experienced firm of
    consultants, sub-consultants and specialists to provide full
    engineering services for the dams safety review.
    
    ESTIMATED CONTRACT VALUE:
    
    The preliminary cost estimate for the Consultant Contract for
    this project is from $750K to $1.5 M (HST exlcuded).

    Amendments, when issued, will be available from GETS. In all
    cases bidders must indicate in the space provided on the

    Proponents should note that Requests for Existing Drawings and
    Documentation in section PD 9 of the RFP must be submitted in
    writing to the Contracting Authority.
