REQUIREMENT:

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf of Parks Canada is seeking tenders for the provision of all labour, material, and equipment as necessary to complete the undertake the reconstruction of the Bars Hump, Cameron Falls and Alderson trails. The project is located in Waterton Lake National Park. The existing trails were badly damaged by fire in 2017.

The work consists of trail reconstruction including subgrade preparation, gravel surfacing, quarried stone steps, water-bars and retaining walls. The project also includes asphalt paving, several styles of fencing, the supply and placement of topsoil and the replacement of the Alderson lookout. Selective tree removal and demolition of damaged structures will be required.

The trails are in a remote mountainous region of the park with limited access by equipment.  The contractor may be required to use helicopters to access some of the sections.
