Work Description:
Work under this Contract covers the supply and installation of a new steel column, including pates, braces, and reinforced concrete pedestal for the repair of an existing deteriorating steel column located at the Pump Room floor.

Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the scope of work.

Site Visit:
Contractors are recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for thiswork and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

A site visit is scheduled on January 5, 2016 at 9:30 am PST.  Interested bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Project Trailer located at 825 Admirals Road, Victoria, B.C.  
Interested bidders are required to provide their name(s) and company name(s) to Ronny Ly (604) 666-0043 or Ronny.Ly@pwgsc.gc.ca by January 4, 2016 3:00pm PST if you will be attending the site visit.  The front gate commissionaire will only allow access to the site if previous visitor information is provided and names appear on the visitor list.

Bidders are reminded that the Esquimalt Graving Dock is a heavy industrial site and WCB approved hard hats and safety footwear is mandatory for the site visit. 

THIS CONTRACT CONTAINS A SECURITY REQUIREMENT:
The Contractor/Offeror must, at all times during the performance of the Contract/Standing Offer, hold a 
valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate 
(CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). 

Delivery Date:
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within seven [7] weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
