    Title:  Esquimalt Fill Site Eastern Remediation

    Work Description:
    Contractor must provide personnel with appropriate experience in remediating contaminated materials.  Contractor to provide specialized material handling, health and safety, and environmental protection procedures.
    
    The Esquimalt Fill Site remediation includes excavation and disposal of 18,100 tonnes of contaminated soil, including 250 tonnes of Hazardous Waste, and site reinstatement to existing conditions.
    
    Work to be performed under the Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items, including all ancillary Work, covered further in theContractor:

    Work at Site will involve work with contaminated materials.  Complete list of anticipated contaminants and concentration levels on the Site are available separately in assessment reports and/or Drawings.
    
    There is no civic street address or PIN for the Site.
    
    Optional Site visit:
    A site visit to be held on December 29, 2016 at 1100 PDST.  Directions to site:  From Admirals Road, turn down on to Thomas Rd, and immediately after crossing the railroad tracks, turn right ontoModeste Road.  Follow Modeste Road between the residences and rail road tracks, cross the parking lot and enter the Trio Redi-Mix site entrance.  Follow through Trio Redi-Mix site approximately north west and follow the gravel access road.  The site is located on the left, west of the Trio Redi-Mix site and south of the gravel access road.  Site access is through Esquimalt Nation and Trio Redi-Mix, please respect this.   
    
    Bidders are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

    Work to be initiated within 5 working days of contract award.
    Pre-Mobilization Submittals within 10 working days of contract award

    Site works:  Final Completion no later than 2017 March 15
    Offsite Treatment and Disposal Works:  Final Completion no later than 2017 March 31
    Completion of the Work:  no later than 2017 March 31.  Includes all final submittals including as-build documents, the Certificateof Completion, and the Statutory Declaration at Final Completion.

    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $2,000,000.00 to $3,000,000.00.
