    Work Description: 
    The Work comprises of, but is not limited to the creation of new asphalt paved areas.  Remove existing asphalt, turf, tree(s) and curbs in areas noted on Civil and Electrical Drawings.  Remove unsuitable subbase and install base aggregate backfill as required.  Compact new sub base and top course gravel and proof roll.  Asphalt paving and installation of parking stops, curb, boulevard restoration, and line painting, as well as all associated work shown on the Civil and Electrical Engineering Drawings.  Install 25m2 of Concrete Gravel Retaining Wall as noted.  Install Lighting as per Electrical Drawings.  The work location is at the Institute of Ocean Sciences at 9860 West Saanich Road, Sidney, BC.
    
    Site Visit: 
    Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
    
    There is an optional site visit for prospective bidders on Wednesday, January 03, 2018 at 10:00 am PST at the Institute of Ocean Sciences at 9860 West Saanich Road, Sidney, BC.
    
    Please meet the DFO representative at the main entrance to sign in and obtain a pass.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor should perform and complete the Work by March 31, 2018.

    To assist with insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $125,000.00 and $175,000.00
