Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: K4A22-200196/A Martin, Delia (PWY) Telephone No. - (778) 707-2139 Fax No. - (604) 775-6633 Email: Delia.Martin@pwgsc.gc.ca Title: PWRC Roof Replacement Location: Pacific Wildlife Research Centre, Delta, BC Work Description: Contractor to provide all labour, equipment, and materials necessary to perform to completion of work as described in the Contract Documents the roof replacement on designated roof areas of the Pacific Wildlife Research Centre located at 5421 Robertson Road in Delta, BC. LOW SLOPE MEMBRANE ROOFING: On Roof Areas L-1.1 and L-1.2: Remove existing system components, projection and perimeter flashings, and old appurtenances down to existing deck in preparation for installation of a new waterproofing system. STEEP SLOPE CEDAR SHINGLE REPLACEMENT (On Roof Areas L-2.1, L-2.2 and T-1.1): Supply all labour, equipment, and materials to install new cedar wood shingle roof system, to include, but not be limited to, the following provisions: *Remove down to existing wood sheathing and dispose of existing wood shingles, underlayment roof membrane, projection and perimeter flashings, and old appurtenances. *Repair and replace all damaged wood siding and fascia. Prime and paint all new and repaired wood siding and fascia. *Within Attic, supply and install new insulation where applicable. *Install new plywood onto the existing roof deck. *Install new metal drip edge flashing where applicable. *Install new self-adhering eave protection membrane along valleys, ridges, eaves, perimeters, and at roof penetrations. Over remaining roof deck areas install felt underlayment. *Install cedar shingle at the hip, valley and eve locations. *Supply and install appropriate new vent and exhaust fan flashings where applicable. *Fasten new three ply, continuous layer cedar wood shingles. *Provide neat row of overlapping cedar wood ridge shingles at hip and ridge locations. *Preserve existing metal rain gutters and downpipes. *Provide new clear brick sealer to brick chimneys above deck. *Contractor responsible for co-ordination of abatement procedures for all Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) pertinent to successful performance of Work. *Install new prefinished metal flashings, hook strips, and trim at all perimeter and projection locations where indicated. Site Visit: Contractors are recommended to make inquiries necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the nature and extent of the work. An optional site visit is scheduled for Thursday, October 03, 2019 at 10:00 AM local time, at the Pacific Wildlife Research Centre (PWRC), located at 5421 Robertson Road in Delta, BC. Delivery Date: The Contractor shall perform and complete the work within 6 weeks of Contract Award. Value of Project: To assist with insurance and bonding requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $100,001.00 and $500,000.00. Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tender (solicitation) documents through Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued will be available from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.
