    Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Vancouver will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (Pacific Daylight Time).

    Building M2A CER Cooling Upgrade

    Work Description:
    Work to be performed under this Contract comprises an HVAC System Upgrade in the CER room at Matsqui Institution in Abbotsford, BC, including complete testing, balancing, start-up and commissioning of the CER cooling and humidification system.
    
    Work includes but is not limited to:
    1: Phased demolition of existing HVAC, ducts, pipes, insulations, plumbing pipes and other HVAC equipment and as-sociated control and electrical components, including legal disposal of equipment and materials.
    2: Phased installation of new HVAC and humidification equipment, piping, ductwork, grilles and associated control and electrical components and DDC system.
    3: A detailed work plan including a project schedule and construction phasing plan.
    4: All equipment and associated components delivered to the site in a timely manner.
    5: All of the above mentioned works to be performed in an environment which contains hazardous building materials. Provide for work including removal of hazardous materials in accordance with requirements.
    
    Site Visit: 
    An optional ONLINE site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 10:00 am PDST.  We encourage all bidders to attend this online meeting. You may attend either by phone (audio) or by computer (audio and/or video).
    
    The details for logging in to this meeting will be made available to all bidders who express an interest in attending by contacting the Contracting Authority before 15:00 pm PDST Monday, June 14, 2021.  If you wish to attend, please email Delia Martin at delia.martin@pwgsc.gc.ca.
    
    An optional IN-PERSON site visit will follow the online presentation. The in-person optional site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 14:00 pm PDST. Bidders are to meet at the  PSPC Matsqui Institution site office located at 33344 King Road, Abbotsford, BC.
    
    All IN-PERSON site visit attendees must pre-register with the Contracting Authority, Delia Martin, by email at delia.martin@pwgsc.gc.ca, no later than 15:00 pm PDST Monday, June 14, 2021, and provide the following information:

    COVID Protocols
    Bidders must fill out a Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire prior to entering the Institution. Bidders must present the completed form upon entrance. See Annex C of the solicitation documents.
    
    Masks must be worn at all times while inside the Institution. The masks must be the health care blue masks; they are available outside of the principle entrances along with hand sanitizer.
    
    Physical distancing must be maintained at all times.
    
    Depending on number of people attending the site visit, bidders may be required to break into small groups before entering the institutions.
    
    Travel to and from the site is at the Bidder’s own expense and risk. Bidders are responsible for familiarizing themselves and complying with public health protocols in effect for COVID-19, including travel restrictions.
    
    Delivery Date: 
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the work within 21 weeks of Contract Award.
    
    Value of Project: 
    To assist with insurance and bonding requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $100,001.00 and $500,000.00.
